If I receive an Explanation of Benefits what should I do?

An Explanation of Benefits is not a bill, it is simply for you to understand details in regards to laboratory services provided on your behalf by Encompass. You only need to pay Encompass if you receive a bill directly from us.

Will I receive a bill from Encompass?

You will receive a bill if:

  • If your health insurer sent payment for our services directly to you, and this payment was not forwarded to our Billing Department. If this happens please send payment directly to EMP via mail (address below)
  • If Encompass has filed a claim with your insurance company and you have not met your deductible, copay, coinsurance, etc. as required by your health insurer
